After more than 24 hours of traveling we arrived safely to the Sydney airport. Going through customs didn’t take long and we were soon outside to hail a cab. After we all clambered into the van, Catharine asked “Dad’s going to drive?!” forgetting that the steering wheel is on the right side. :)
We took the cab to our accommodations at the Alishan International Guest House in Sydney, arriving after midnight. There to welcome us to our room was a hand-sized spider – a non-poisonous Huntsman spider we were later told – which, since he wasn’t helping pay for the room, we evicted.
