I was reading outside today when this curious little crustacean came by and I decided to dust off my camera and take some macro shots. I shot all of these with a 50mm f/1.4 on extension tubes at around f/11. Extension tubes can be a whole lot cheaper than buying a macro lens, but one of the big trade-offs is the having to manually stop down your aperture, which means your viewfinder gets darker and harder to see your subject through as you stop down. Make sure you click on the images to view them larger.
