This was the first round of readings we received for “Reconstruction to World War II” the very first day of class at the beginning of the semester. We all filed past, dutifully collecting one of each. Now, many classes, readings, tests, and a big research paper later I’m finished with the course. I really enjoyed enjoyed the class, and it was definitely one of the best history class I’ve ever taken. American history is so much more complex than it’s made out to be.
