Today is the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing and the first man to set foot on the moon. The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is hosting an exhibit of Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean’s paintings and I was privileged to meet Mr. Bean on Friday and spend a few minutes with him after his on-camera interview.
Mr. Bean showed us a book containing many of his lunar paintings.
