Day 91: Squash

There was an international squash competition going on inside this mall in Bratislava, Slovakia, while we were there last summer. Probably some sort of exhibition games, but we hung around and watched for a little bit. I pulled this one from the archives since all the recent shots I’ve done are for the newspaper, which doesn’t come out until Thursday. I’m really happy with my shots for this week, so be sure to check back for Thursday’s post.

Day 40: Tyson

“His name is Tyson. Like Mike Tyson.”

This was what the girl at our hostel in Bratislava, Slovakia, told us when we checked in. He loved to nap on the couch in the lobby, but we could never figure out how in the world he got up there. The girl at the front desk told us he would just jump up, but we never actually saw him do it. She also said he was only 2 years old, but the way he lumbered around made him look an old arthritic. However he managed to get up on the couch, he would fall asleep with his tongue sticking out, which made me want to go up and poke it, which I did on numerous occasions. He didn’t seem to mind.
