Eric & Wendy: Part I

I shot my first wedding a couple weeks ago, but my editing has been slow going since I’ve been so busy with work and getting settled in here in California. I’ll be posting some of the photos here over the next few days. Today’s post is of the guys.

Up Central Hall

After graduation some of us got to go up to the top of Central Hall, the iconic clock tower on Hillsdale’s campus, with the man himself, Dr. Arnn, the president of the college. Most people don’t go up during daylight since they sneak up at night, so I made sure to take my camera along for the adventure.

Hillsdale Panorama

This photo is just a tiny preview of the huge panoramic image I took from the top of Central Hall looking north. Be sure to click on it so you can zoom in and pan around the photo. I’m hoping to go up sometime next semester with some time and proper equipment and make a better panorama.

Road Trip Across America

Last Tuesday I shot my first wedding, then returned to campus to catch a few hours of sleep, pack up all my stuff, and head to Cincinnati where I picked up my roommate to head across America. Thursday we drove from Cincinnati to a friend’s house in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Friday we drove from there to Axtell, Utah, where we stayed with a friend for two nights, doing some hiking on Saturday. Sunday we drove “The Loneliest Road in America” and arrived in Berkeley, California, that night. My roommate and I will be staying in Berkeley with his family for the summer. No time for sleeping in, though. We were up bright and early Monday morning to leave for the first day of our summer internship. It’ll be a great summer.

The U.S. is huge. It was a blast to see the beauty and diversity of our great country all along the way. Since we were driving 12+ hours a day, I really didn’t do much photography along the way, but here are some photos captured on my iPhone.

“The Loneliest Road in America.” It had some really long stretches of straight road that tempted us to see how fast my fully-loaded car could go, but we restrained ourselves.

Graduation

Saturday was graduation here at Hillsdale College. While I was slightly disappointed to not be able to walk with my class (I have one more semester since I took one off), I had a blast taking photos of everyone. I’m still editing them all, but here are a few for you to enjoy.
